Refugio Tied with Edna Atop District 30-2A Baseball

APRIL 21, 2014 - Tidehaven took down the Bobcats, 7-5, in the final game of the 2014 regular season, giving the Bobcats a district record of 12 wins and 2 losses (the other loss was to Edna).   Tidehaven finishes with a district record of 10-4.  

Meanwhile, Edna tied the Bobcats for #1 in District 30-2A by defeating Aransas Pass, 10-6.

Flash from Coach Huerta: The Refugio varsity baseball team has completed district play in a tie for first place with Edna. The #1 seed tiebreaker game will be played this Saturday night (April 26) in Victoria at Riverside Stadium.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:30pm.  Adults will be $4 and students $2.  Thank You to all who support the Refugio Athletic Program.


CONVERSE - APRIL 16, 2014  - The Refugio Bobcat 800 meter relay team won its race in the District 29-District 30 2A Area meet, qualfiying for the Regional. The 400 meter Bobcat relay team also advanced with a third place finish.  In individual events, Lady Cat Braylyn Fox-Smith won both the shot and the discus and Brent Wendel, in the boys shot and discus, finished third and second respectively.  Refugio's Marquis Brown won the 200 meter dash.

THE LADY EAGLES, champions of District 31-1A softball, will play the winner of Center Point-TBA no later than May 3rd. Stay tuned to follow this fine Woodsboro team.
